Why We Built Garage Connect
We built Garage Connect because vetting a mechanic shouldn't take a weekend of research.
For most drivers, getting a car fixed starts the same way: calling around, leaving voicemails, and hoping someone calls back. You rarely get a written price up front, you can't tell whether a quote is fair, and you find out what a shop is really like only after you've already committed.
Garage Connect puts that process in one place. You describe the job once, local providers reply with written quotes you can compare side by side, and you see an independent cost estimate before you talk to anyone. Providers list their services, set their own prices, and deal with you directly — the same way they would if you walked through their door, minus the phone tag.
How We Vet Providers
Providers marked Verified have been reviewed by our team before the badge appears on their listing.
Pending approval — draft criteria, not yet in effect
- ASE certification on file, where applicable to the services offered
- Physical business address confirmed
- Business registration checked against state records
- Active phone number verified
- Insurance documentation reviewed, where required by service type
A Verified label is not a price guarantee and does not replace your own judgment — always compare written quotes before booking.
What We Don't Do
We don't take a commission on jobs. Providers set their own prices, quote you directly, and get paid by you directly. Garage Connect charges providers a flat listing fee — nothing more — so the price you're quoted is the provider's price, not ours.
